On 25/1/2017, Sun Group officially opened Dragon Park, the largest theme park in Southeast Asia. Dragon Park belongs to Sun World Halong Complex (Halong city, Quang Ninh). It is the only theme park in Vietnam that offers 32 high-end rides, load tested and certified by Germany’s most reputable accrediting association – TÜV.
Dragon Park spans 23 hectares and is designed with inspiration from the world’s leading modern theme parks. It offers unparalleled experiences and a great leisure time for visitors of all generations.
Dragon Park opens up a marvelous and magical world, full of fairy tales told through the rides. “Tea Cups,” “Maxi Dance Party,” and “Circus Train” are great for kids while for teenagers and adults, the “Tour de Paris” and the romantic “Royal Carousel” are sure to be favorites. Uniquely, our “Garden Cruisers” take guests on a relaxing boat trip through a tropical garden and under a sublime waterfall.
The highlights of Dragon Park are it’s thrilling rides, such as “Dragon’s Run.” Built by B&M, it is Asia’s longest and most exciting roller coaster with a rail length of over 1.1km. The terrific “Rhino Sling” spins, lifts and allows guests to free fall at speeds up to 65km/hr.
Along with each ride, an exciting story unfolds. “Wild Boats” takes visitors on a challenging ocean journey, “Little Dragon’s Flight” tells the tale of a dragon’s first flying experience and “Mine Train” is a wild treasure hunting adventure in dragon land.
All rides at Dragon Park are imported from Europe, load tested and worldwide certified based on the strictest European standards, all of which is controlled by the TÜV (Technischer Überwachungsverein) – Germany’s reputable association in technical inspection and quality assurance.
Besides its world-class amusement rides, Dragon Park also offers beautiful sceneries looking out to Ha Long Bay – a UNESCO world natural heritage site. Putting strong emphasis on environmental protection, Dragon Park owns the largest amount of trees amongst all theme parks in Southeast Asia, with over 10,000 flower shrubs and more than 5000 trees. Of the total number of trees, over 2000 are the especially rare “Hoa Sua” (White Dalbergia Tonkinensis).
If you get tired of the games and rides and need a small break, make sure to sit down and check out the numerous high-end food and beverage services available. Regardless of your gastronomic preference, we have something to satisfy everyone!
Dragon Park is the second major installment at Sun World Halong Complex and is the biggest theme park in Southeast Asia.
Officially opened during Lunar New Year 2017, Dragon Park will become one of the main destinations for millions of tourists visiting Ha Long.
